I'm loving your comments, thanks!

this is gorgeous.

your city and mine seem to have so much in common, though i think yours is far prettier.

The guy at the bottom IS wearing red, even if the lady's laundry isn't. Now, let's be grateful that the guy in red isn't someone in his "roupa interior vermelha". . .I love the portuguese banter. . .no one ever says "Epááá" here. It's so sad!

The D in D & T: Yes, they have much in common, I was there once and I felt like at home! Only found that drivers were more dangerous than here.

Abby: You are curious and observer:) have you ever beem to Portugal?

Thanks ioanna and Julie :)

Cute one: Do it and send me one copy too!

Abby I just see that you have been in Lagos :)

I was in Lagos, Portimão, Setúbal, Beja and Almada during 1991 and 1992. Faz tempo demais, but I feel like I've been back every day since I found your blog. I'd love to scrapbook some of your photos of Lisbon, but only with your permission. Do you have a way that I could buy some higher resolution digital versions?

I love the length of the photo, it makes the whole image really outstanding! Fantastic stuff! :)

Great picture, we have people hanging out laundry in pakistan too. Was this picture taken with an IMATE?

I think that I would struggle to live so close to so many others!

I'm always uncomfortable taking photos of people going about their business, so well done to get this shot!

Abby: I am happy to hear your words, it mades me wish to discover more of my city and achieve to transmit it this naif way to whom likes it.
I'm very happy with your proposal, I never thought, I do not know if I have photos with good resolution as I will explain later.

Jackie: Thank you, I am thinking to put this one on the side bar of the blog.

Destitute Rebel: it was not with a IMATE. The picture was cut to frame it as I liked. I Use a samsung, the cheapest that I found in the market: http://www.letsgodigital.org/en/camera/specification/1624/show.html

Kris McCracken: These areas have very cheap rents, Many had already born there, others are immigrants. Sometimes large families live in very small houses
I also am very ashamed to take pictures to people, rarely took, this one was taken a bit far away, and then croped, that's why it has so bad resolution. But as I am an amateur and what matters is the effect :)

Abby: Next week I'll be in argarve (Altura). Not yet decided whether open a new blog just for holidays or post them in this one.

Okay, I'll figure out how, then execute.

For some weird reason I just got the thought stuck in my head that your birthday is in March! I know, this is crazy, lol. But, if it is ... Happy Birthday. If it isn't, Happy Birthday anyway!!

Cute one: 13th July!
I'm glad you wake up thinking about me :)

George Townboy said...

So am I!!

I'm going to write down the date so I don't forget in July! (My super powers were a little off this morning, by about 4 months, lol.)

I LOVE THE NEW HEADER FOR YOUR BLOG!! AWESOME!!

Beijinho!

Uma por Dia said...

Wow, now you speak portuguese! And what a wonderful word :)

Your birthday is on the 13th too?

Beijão

George Townboy said...

Glad you like it! I think it is important for me to know some words, at least. (Without getting myself in trouble, lol.)

My birthday is the 19th of January.

Beijão, ioió!

Uma por Dia said...

Yes, portuguese language is very, very triky. It is very easy for one to get in trouble :) It is happening all the time.

ioió it's a new expression for me, ioió for u2 :)

George Townboy said...

Thank you!!! I'm going to do my best to stay out of trouble, lol.

Quem "tirou" esta fotografia? Acho que este instante acontece uma vez por ano.
