January theme day: Special photo

I forgot to register on monthly theme day so I just transformed best photo in special photo. I could not remember any photo that I would name best but this one just came to my mind while visiting George Townboy Blog! And I liked the previous post number either, so I finally decided! LOL

Best wishes for you in 2009!

Portland Oregon Daily Photo sends you heartfelt wishes for the new year. May your 2009 be filled with good health, riches of the mind and heart, loved ones returning home, an increased respect for our fragile planet, and the cessation of wars across the Earth.

I like your special photo and the naughty pigeon, too!

This is indeed a gorgeous photograph with so many nuances. Love the vintage vehicle and the two men, hands in pockets leaning on the building and the hand-holding couple, she suspicious of the camera and then the bloke with shopping back and phone to ear (such modern contrast to the vehicle) - without him this could almost be a pictures from the 40s or 50s.
