#306 - November 2008 Theme Day: Books

Livraria Bizantina

The Bookstore Byzantine account many years of experience working with old and rare books, manuscripts and other historical documents, and is able to find the titles that demand and that persist in failing to reach by hand.

They have two stores in Lisbon, one in Chiado, and another later located at Rua das Portas de Santo Antão, with the premises of the Palace of Independence.

I chose this old bookstore because it is located in my favorite street of downtown.

I was attracted by the shop's lovely shade of purple and light blue and am delighted to read that it specializes in rare books. Lovely choice for theme day!

Greetings from Juneau (Alaska) Daily Photo!
I think this may be my favorite theme day so far. It's so much fun to see everyones creativity.

I'm definitely adding this book store to my "must see" list when we visit Lisbon.

Great job capturing the legs/feet on the book and those in the reflection.:)

Old books are like mysterious treasures. I used to hunt them. Going to small bookshops with old second hand editions is one of the greatest pleasures in this life.
